Frequently Asked Questions

Does this antenna support every 5G network?
No. Compatibility depends on the network frequencies and connected equipment. It does not cover frequencies outside 698–960MHz and 1710–2700MHz.

Can I use it for 5GHz WiFi?
No. 5GHz WiFi is outside the specified operating ranges. For 2.4GHz WiFi applications, check the equipment’s antenna requirements and connector compatibility.

Is SMA the same as RP-SMA?
No. SMA male has a center pin, while RP-SMA male has a center socket. Check the center contact as well as the threads before connecting.

Will I need an extension cable?
Only if the included 1.5m cable cannot reach your equipment. Keep additional cable as short as practical to limit signal loss.

Will this antenna boost a signal by itself?
This is a passive antenna. It requires compatible radio equipment, such as a cellular router, modem or signal booster. Connection quality depends on placement, alignment, obstructions, cable loss and the available network signal.
